Character 1: Kratos

Description:
Kratos is a mythological Video Game character who goes on a journey through games to become the strongest warrior in greek mythology. this is done through the punishment of Ares as Kratos had to pay a debt for asking for the current god of war to aid him in battle. This is highly stereotypical as we see Kratos slowly turn into a monster as he feels no emotion towards the death of his loved ones, and that warriors in greek mythology are meant to feel no pain.

Activity 1:

Throughout the music video, we see that there are mostly straight cuts. however, due to the song being upbeat and full of romance, one can say that there are quick cuts.

Something else which needs to be addressed is the use of many locations being seen in this music video. elliptical editing would be beneficial for this purpose as it would cut all the unnecessary scenes.

By combining both elliptical editing and quick cuts, it gives a positive and exhilarating atmosphere for the viewers to experience.

The use of a point of view shot connotes to the viewers how the couple feels and that they want to bring their fans on a journey.

Gender Representation:

Throughout this Game Trailer, we see Kratos (the main protagonist) have very manly features as his voice is very deep, he has big muscles, is very masculine with his actions and is assertive. This is an example of stereotypical representation as, in my personal opinion, men would be the ones to go to the gym and improve on their muscles and when men hit puberty, their voice deepens.

However, the audience sees (In 0:48 to 1:00) a woman who is trying to be strong and courageous. this is an example of a counter-stereotypical representation of gender as men would preferably be the gender to fight and the female gender would be the ones to stay at home, however we see a female fighting a man with a sword by her side.

We Are Macmillian Charity:
"Because cancer can affect your life in so many ways, we do whatever it takes to give people the support they need."
This charity is very beneficial to many families in the UK as most families at least have one person who is diagnosed with some variant of cancer, meaning with a large problem, a large solution must be found.

Cross Cultural Consumer Characterisation:

mainstreamers are people who tend to focus on family, on the tried and trusted and on the domestic and everyday.

Reformers tend to be anti-materialistic and interested in social justice. they often reject advertising and fashion.

Aspirers can be seen as "wannabes" - they tend to be materialistic and interested in superficial appearances, celebrities, fashion and status.

Film clip from Creed 2:

The use of non- diegetic music (score) connotes to the viewers that whatever is going on is a sad moment in the film as the sound is very slow and melancholic.
Another way we can tell his emotion is from the 2nd half of the clip that Adonis is angry about the situation through the use of NVC (Non Verbal Communication) as the audience can see that he slams the door and paces around the room.
